The last few weeks the game ran fine, smooth at even the highest video settings. Yet since a week (haven't been playing on a daily basis), the game is back to the totally unplayable version. Even at the lowest video settings. So reverse what you did, so at least when I am bored enough to play the game, I at least can use what I paid for.
