Who cares if content creators are leaving the game.

Why are people especially other content creators so worried about other creators leaving the game? It’s a game and games fade just like everything else so why care if creators who decide to leave don’t come back? Don’t get me wrong I enjoy watching the occasional live stream or build content because there are some entertaining people out there -blam!- keep it interesting. Some who I was really sad to see go but understood why they did leave because Destiny was no longer fun and when something isn’t fun why do it? But here lately we have another list of content creators who are either taking a break until Renegades drops or they decided to make it well known that they were not going to participate in the Desert Perpetual Epic Raid over the weekend. I watched their videos explaining why they decided not to grace the community with their presence and only one I felt was sincere in his reasons for not do the raid while the other two were basically looking for pity and reassurance that it’s ok. The first guy… we’ll call him Rick probably has the largest Destiny base on his channel which he definitely earned through his content and consistency. Well Rick decided that he’s burned out especially since he’s been grinding non-stop since Edge of Fate dropped and he participated in the first drop of the raid where he didn’t really enjoy the experience. He decided that he’s burned wouldn’t put himself through the not swap, banned listing experience of the epic raid and spend time relaxing with family instead. No excuses, no fishing for compliments or encouragement to change his mind just honesty that he’s cooked from the bad decisions that Bungie has made. I can respect his decision and I hope he got rest and had a fun weekend away from Destiny. The other two people we will can Daddo and Vladd. These two characters are third person talking, egotists who made their names in Destiny by whining, treating their chats like doo doo and then became casual players of the game only inserting their opinions or themselves when the raid race would come around in hopes that they would get a good share of the views on Twitch or YouTube so they could brag about their views. Both of these nut sacks made it abundantly clear that they would not be participating in the epic raid and that both were either taking a break until the next expansion or leaving the game completely. Unlike Rick who is grateful for his subscribers these two nut bags are not. They came in whining, acting entitled to your attention and sympathy while fishing for community feedback that might change their minds so they would stay. In actuality it wasn’t feedback from the community that they wanted but Bungie to beg them to not leave which is a whole other level of D baggery. Yes. Daddo and Vladd think they are so important that they believe that Bungie will beg them to keep playing their game though neither one plays that much to begin with. That’s pure ego on their part and i could care less if either play Destiny again because the game needs more positive energy not a couple of sociopaths who let their narcissistic personalities spread negativity across the Destiny universe. Good riddance to them both.

  • Content Creators are the best judges of the state of the game. Not only do they have the loudest voices, but they are able to see how players feel about Destiny in a much more comprehensive view. As such, they are the early warning systems for when a game isn’t doing well. If player sentiment is low, viewership goes down, even if nobody is talking about it. As a result, they are able to see the state of the game for what it is.

    • General rule of thumb, the creators know the future before you do, like when the birds & animals start fleeing days before the tsunami hits - it cant be a positive thing for those that stay - for context, a lot left over the years & didnt say a word, the difference now is these are the last men standing, been here since the beginning, when they turn the lights off it's a sure sign we are in the dying embers.

    • You apparently care enough to write a damn book about it.

      • Hey, I care; I'm legitimately happy to see the back of some of them, for the constant difficulty/grind pushes (and anti-crafting pushes), and for being -blam!- to their chats! Yes, the community is toxic, like the LoL community, and in both cases, it's because that's how the big CCs are to their audiences.

      • The problem is these creators complained the game was too easy, now the game is ridiculous and they are all crying and leaving now the game is ruined
