A call to action for Bungie

I’ve been part of this community for 11 years, and right now it feels like we’re all running on empty. When creators like Datto, Gladd, and GernaderJake step back, it’s not just about them getting tired. It’s a sign that the fire that once fueled Destiny is burning low for everyone. Destiny used to inspire excitement. Every drop, every expansion, every tease made us feel like we were part of something alive and growing. Lately, it feels like the soul of the game is fading. Seasons blend, the same loops repeat, and instead of big moments that wow us, we’re watching the community grow more and more disconnected. The numbers don’t lie either. When a new raid only pulls 28K players compared to the hundreds of thousands we’ve seen in the past, it’s a wake-up call. Meanwhile, other games with smaller teams are giving their communities steady content and excitement, while Destiny feels stuck. We don’t want to give up on this game. We’ve poured thousands of hours into it, built friendships, clans, memories, and stories. But right now, too many of us are stepping away because we’re tired of waiting for Destiny to feel magical again. Bungie...we need bold moves, not just nerfs and recycled patterns. We need to believe that Destiny’s best days aren’t behind us. Give us something to hope for again. Because we want to stay. We really do.

 • A moving speech, to be sure. Here's the thing though........whenever Bungie makes "bold moves" the pushback on here is deafening. Case in point, the Portal. A bold move in my opinion but what's the response? "Make everything like it was for the last expansion, that was AWESOME!!!!" How soon some forget how much they hated everything about the last expansion, and the one before that, and the one.............Do you see a pattern emerging? Sure, there were undoubtedly people that genuinely enjoyed those expansions but what about the loudmouths who came here and expressed their disdain in no uncertain terms? Some of them are the very same demanding the roll-back. I suppose what I'm getting at here, as I've stated in the past, is that the community (specifically the one on here) have no freaking idea what the hell they want; only that they aren't nor ever will get it from Bungie.
