I think the movie is great, although it's cheesy. The movie is clearly flawed but I love the way it represents its social messages of over-consumerism, subliminal messages and globalist overreach through an outside invading force. It's easy to recognize these things as "bad" when it's weapons used by aliens to dominate mankind opposed to how it is in real life of humans dominating humans. I just think it's neat! Plus that alley fight scene is kick--blam!-! And of course one of the best action movies lines of all time. “I have come here to chew bubble gum and kick--blam!-. And I'm all out of bubble gum”
