Here's how various raids would be ruined by removing comms or having fewer players : SE - Verity encounter removed completely. Not only is it impossible with less than 4 ppl due to separating the team into 4 separate rooms, but the fake wipe-mechanic also relies on "dead" players to literally spectate other players & call out what they see on the spectator screen. VOW - all mechanics removed completely from 3rd & 4th encounter, due to the fact that Taken symbols can only be seen by players with relic/resonance buffs, and Scorn symbols can only be seen by non-buffed players. Without comms, there can be no call-outs of common symbol, or pillar-dunking. DSC - the entire function of the scanner buff is to see things that the other players cant, and call them out. If we remove comms, then 1st & 2nd encounter would become "just shoot every keypad & shoot any Atraks"... basically a strike. LW - if we're talking Riven legit, the entire boss encounter is impossible without comms. VOG - final encounter literally forces 3 random players into a portal, to rely on call-outs from the non-portal team. Cant have portals with no comms. I guess it would be: walk-in, rally, and go straight to damage... Real challenging. KF - Eliminating comms on Warpriest would mean eliminating the plate mechanic entirely. Its not just the left, right, mid aspect... but not calling out timers means no passing the brand. The whole encounter would be reduced to: 3 ppl step on all the plates then everyone goes straight to an unlimited damage phase, encounter over. IDK if there's a character limit in replies, but I could go on.
