A former Destiny enthusiast here!
I miss liking Destiny. I miss having a good, casual multiplayer game I want to login to and spend time with. I don't see that happening with D2 anymore. You've ripped too much out and put too much of an emphasis on monetization and being a tedious, obnoxious, live-service time suck. The heart and soul have left the building!
So, a few small (/s) suggestions:
Cancel Marathon. It won't go well and you know it. Cut your losses and bring those resources back to your cash cow. It was silly to kill Destiny in favor of a bad game in a niche genre.
End D2. It's over and you know it. Borderlands 4 is very successful despite very bad press, very bad CEO, very bad BL3 campaign, etc. It's not some secret formula... Gearbox literally just realized that Nostalgia and giving fans what they want would carry them... and it did. If you made a D3 that followed D1 more closely than the ultra-monetized, seasonal MTX model that D2 is I guarantee you'll save this franchise. Keep a skeleton crew on to fix D2 and maybe put out a few more updates that make the game playable and delight your fans.
Go full throttle making D3 with all resources. Focus on making a good game, not a generic game that can be a hollow shell for monetization.
I think that's pretty much it. It seems like a no-brainer to me.
Thanks!

But BG wants to cancel D2 and launch Marathon.
