So I returned on a new console, restarted and came to realize most of the Youtubers are bashing the game, and yet , strangely enough, are singing Destiny RISNGS' praises. I completed all the campaigns in a short span and then hit a massive brick wall in this poorly named "portal". And it just got worse from there. I would even go as far as to call it a "phasing out". Much like the CEO of Bungie that cut and run, I believe this is actually part of the plan. The IP is already handed of to a gatcha game developer to ensure continued revenue stream and the writing for D2 has been on the wall for at least 2 years now if you pay attention to it's winding down. And NOW, a ton of D2 players (including the Youtubers) are playing Destiny Rising with the kind of positive response they USED TO give Bungie during a great season. Ya'll smell what I'm cookin over here? I'm just sayin, complain all you want on these abandoned forums, all this drama seems more like a Psy -op for them to pull a bait and switch, all the while they are disolving ("integrating") the studio into Sony. If I didn't know any better, I'd say that THIS was the plan all along. Console games just aren't lucrative and especially "looter shooters" as Destiny has left every competitor in the history books by any comparison. It would just make sense to go mobile, cater to a wider audience, like they always dreamed of, and leave the increasingly negative and critical D2 audience behind (yet retaining many to Rising with negligable loss). Cuz if it was ME, that is EXACTLY what "I" would do. I'm gonna say Renegades will capitalize the Star Wars novelty, then another season , 2 at most, and by that time Risng will have a player base making this one obsolete. Hate to say it, but it all sounds about right and IF you still enjoy the game, well, enjoy it while you still can. My 2 cents. Thank God I didn't waste money on these new expansions. Though, if Renegades gets good reviews, I may dip back one last time just to play a decent Start Wars campaign. Bungie is officially over by any quantafiable measure. It's "for gamers" mantra all but forgotten. and , up until recently, I would have never truly wanted it or believed it till what I see in front of me. This isn't just a dark day for the game, it's a dark day for all gamers. This is what they want gaming to be in general, a fortnite version of any given franchise with nonstop microtransactions for kids already addicted to these virtual slot machines. They did it, they created the gaming Frankenstein we all dreaded. This is what they wanted all along. They strung us along all these years and THIS is all they cared about the whole time. Pulling out the rug. We saw the warning signs, we fought them but we still bought their crap like lemmings as they strung us along with one false hope after another..... Division 2 anyone!?
