Dear Bungie Support Team,
I am writing to report a serious connectivity issue with Destiny 2 from the Republic of Belarus. Since September 16, 2025, I and many other players from our region have been unable to log into the game without using a VPN.
When attempting to connect, we encounter the Tapir error. When using a VPN, the connection works, but playing with a VPN is inconvenient due to high ping, lag, and unstable connection, which negatively impacts gameplay, especially in PvP modes.
I have several important questions:
Is this a technical error or an intentional block?
From Bungie's official statements, I am aware that sales of the game and content have been suspended in Russia and Belarus. However, I purchased the game and additional content before these restrictions were implemented. Why am I now unable to access what I already bought? Officially, only the suspension of sales was announced, not the blocking of access for existing players.
When will this issue be resolved?
If this is a technical error, please inform me if a fix is planned and when we can expect access to be restored. If this is an intentional block, I request official clarification.
How can I get a refund for the non-functional game and content?
If access to the game and purchased content (including Silver, DLC, and seasonal passes) is permanently blocked, I would like a refund. Please explain the refund procedure, as the game no longer functions without a VPN, which is not a normal condition of use.
I am a long-time fan of Destiny 2 and have invested significant resources into the game. Blocking access to already paid-for content without the possibility of a refund seems unfair. I kindly ask you to look into this situation and provide clear answers to my questions.
