Want to play, love Destiny, but this is no longer fun

I know there are tons of other posts like this, and I know many disagree or are just quick to say "see you later" and all. But I hope is some small way adding my post helps. When I realized I was only playing to finish the pass because I paid for it, I knew I was done but love the game enough to at least say something. The grind as it is - not fun. I'm ok with the tiers, but the cost to upgrade makes it a real slog. The modifiers - not fun or exciting. I have not even attempted anything after master as it seems more frustrating than anything else as a mainly solo player PVP - Crapshow with the way hunters 2 shot everything ;) In all seriousness the TTK is so low right now I feel like I'm playing hardcore COD I'll play if they make some solid changes in time for the pass, otherwise I'll join so many others adding this one to the ones we used to love but no longer support pile

 •
The modifiers - not fun or exciting. I have not even attempted anything after master as it seems more frustrating than anything else as a mainly solo player
I don't really know what Bungie was thinking with the modifiers system. If I had to guess, I'd say they want us to vary the way we play, they were meant to make the content feel "fresh" even though we'd played through the same Solo Op (or whatever) a hundred times before - but they don't do that, they don't make the content feel fresh, we're still fighting the same enemies in the same location, only this time they release Screeblings when they die. If modifiers were the sole way of making gameplay more difficult I might be more understanding, except we're being pushed into Master and Grandmaster level content, too, so we're being asked to double dip the difficulty. The modifiers do make content harder, but that's not really my idea of fun, I'm one of those weirdos who plays video games to relax, not to sweat. So I've put in 1.5 hours of gameplay in the last two weeks, mostly in the Shooting Range to test out changes and see if that gets me interested. The loot isn't enticing me, the armor doesn't excite me, there's not much to look forward to or get excited about, and the moment I remember that I need to do Master level difficulty with half a dozen modifiers to get new and better loot, I lose my interest in playing.
