what brings more people into playing pvp/cruicible? ( want to know your ideas )

  • Okay I'll bite - More pvp maps. I just cant keep playing the same maps for the life of me. - More tiered loot, like holy damn, its undercooked and raw. - Stop catering to people who will never touch pvp. There is no point in catering to people that will never like pvp, no matter custom tuned their experience is. Some people just dont like it - Loot amount isnt the issue, its valuable loot. - More playlists in the portal. Cutting edge aint it.

    - Removing Forced win/losses (50/50) - Removing team balancing (Good players playing solo shouldn’t be punished with bad teammates) - More incentive for winning (Right now once you hit 450 whether you win or lose you get basically the same loot) - Remove this offbrand Skill based matchmaking implemented and focus on connection. - New armor sets, weapons, shaders, emblems, ships, maybe some glows to go for in PvP, not another reskinned Not Forgotten. - Bring back older maps that were removed

    • Personally… I love a good balance of gunplay and space magic, something like 60:40 because I prefer gunplay to be slightly dominant. A fun game mode that leans into tactical thinking. Elimination is my favourite, but I also like objective modes such as Countdown, Rift and Control. Then, a steady stream of interesting maps to learn. You can spend countless hours improving map knowledge, but I always have the most fun when there’s a mix of maps I know well, maps I’m getting to grips with and maps that are brand new. The cherry on top is when there’s some good loot to earn. That's just me though. I have no idea what the majority of players want from Destiny PvP. There are many conflicting ideas depending on the type of player.

      I’ve considered myself retired from PvP since the end of the forsaken era. I only play PvP genuinely when it’s iron banner to honor the old ways. Because of this my clan mates say I’m not truly retired. I’ve guilded it week1 of every season since it got a seal including that one season where rep gains was bugged and we would get like 10x less reputation. I just love traditional banner and I mostly hate all the party modes they added m. Wasn’t keen on them uncoupling power from it. Etc etc. But if that’s what bungie thinks is the play to get more people into it then whatever. Iron banner is a skill based match making activity so my clan mates are punished for having me on the team since I’m top 5% minimum for iron banner players. That minorly discourages me from team play. But as it goes I guild my title and I bounce. So what would make me debatably an iron banner addict play more PvP? Mainly iron banner Disclaimer : I truly stopped playing PvP because there was just too much cheesy -blam!-. I think the sandbox is okay right besides some outliers. Spreadshot hand cannons idk who greenlit them - focusing ( please god make the slot machine stop) - more tiered loot (only one tiered weapon was a joke, at least 3 one in each slot to help power grind) - cosmetics? Was craving and iron banner momento for the longest while. Now momentos are sorta dead (Idk this set they put in just didn’t hit for me but that’s subjective) - bring back reset type rank reward tracks ( most of the time I’d guild before resetting rank but would reset and be like ooo it’s a good shader for once or that’s a clean emblem then it’s back into the -blam!- hole) - clan incentives, iron banner ? The wolves ? Pack tactics? ( Copium I know) - leaderboards I guess? I generally keep track of how many wins or defeats I need each season to guild my title couldn’t do that this season. Since banner was moved to the portal the trackers are all broken. I was meant to hit 1000 rank ups this season instead I’m stuck at 940. ( rip the dream ) - chase items the was no good weapons this banner imo the armor bonus was meh for pve, ( i think set bonus overall need to be more build defining or enabling for pve.) Overall it was a good power grind it was as sweaty as I expect so idk why casuals are always moaning they are not in my lobbies. Disappointed by the loot overall but i can feel the manpower shortage at bungie now more than ever. So it is what it is.

      A diversity of gamemodes not just control comp and whatever the -blam!- the other game modes been since edge of fate. The fact that legacy crucible rotates weekley with new gamemodes is ridiculous we have had the same 3 in the portal for months( not counting trials every week and that sad attempt for iron banner). Being able to choose if you want to have fun or play something sweaty I.e remove skill based matchmaking from the basic modes like control and keep it in the COMPETITIVE playlists (trials included). Honestly them 2 changes would be the main biggest ones unfortunately pvp is never going to be balanced like everyone wants in terms of abilities,weapons etc so implement the other changes would go along way 🤷🏽‍♂️
