Right now you can run ultimate for tier 5 loot at A or even A+ at a delta of 0 or even +10-20 if you are smart with the customise option for the modifiers.
So how is forcing a -30 delta at all times supposed to be making it easier?

It seems to me that their plan was/is to make leveling up into a status thing that deliberately makes it where only the "best" players - or who don't mind getting carried by the best players - can reach max level. Path of Exile 2 has a similar system. But unlike PoE2, Destiny has no real way to improve your character in order to make those things easier. Once you hit 500, it's just a d*ck-waving contest after that. Even that would be fine, though, if we weren't talking about a game people have already been playing for over a decade. Many of us remember the early days where everything in Destiny felt obtainable with a bt of patience and persistance. I don't know if it's the influence of games like Dark Souls, but the last few years have seen more and more very difficult activities enter the game. It was frustrating for more casual players, but at least those activities were optional. For the 10% of the player base that played GMs, the adept weapons were a nice reward. I have a few myself. But that all changed with this latest expansion. For reasons I'll never understand, they took the sort of activities 90% of the player base avoided, and made them the entire focus of the game. Everything we've done up until now, has been to get to this. You're welcome. But look on the bright side: If you get on Twitch, you can watch other people do - by questionable means - the content you can't. And really, isn't that what video games are all about? Playing vicariously?
