Why do I have to use unstable cores when infusing a old exotic with a newly dropped exotic??? Its the same exotic item but it says I need to use 17000 unstable cores. This is riduclous. How are we suppose to bring our items up for different builds if it cost so damn much. I have been using the same basic build all expansion because it cost so much to make a different build.

New exotic armor has a Tier (even if they're all the same Tier) and old armor doesn't, so they are different items.

Someone calculated what it would cost to upgrade their entire vault on Reddit, that number was in the quadrillion. That is WAY too much for spending resources on and yet the insult on our time to have to upgrade all of that to be useful is coupled with that. I hope for a fix for this and many things. Then maybe I will play D2 again.

Edited by The-IIID-Emp1r3: 9/28/2025 4:02:21 PMBecause bungie doesn't care It's the exact same issue with shinies and their normal variants, or when you want to infuse a second version shiny (Iron Banner shiny Ribbontail & Fera, looks worse than the Arms Week version) into it and vice-versa, because bungie coded these base models and shinies as their own weapon variant rather than just make them all the same category regardless of how it looks so that any one of them can be infused into the other w/ glimmer Another issue is that we have event gear that's come and gone (Solstice, etc) but no means of getting dupes to drop at low tier as infusion fuel, now we got an IB armor set with some good set bonuses but no means of having dupes drop to infuse in them Same piece = glimmer Not same but below 200+ = one core, ONE Not same = some material nobody asked for, that infusion modules only took 1 to do previously and could be bought with glimmer and cores We went from having something that "it just works" to having something that's worse

It definitely sucks, my old exotic armour is much better than any new drops I’ve have had, which is poop in itself
