Destiny What if
Recently watched some My name is Byf and thought of some lore what if scenarios, Was wondering what other people thought of them. (P.S I know the game is going through a rough patch, but can we please not hate on bungie in this post. Telling me about how bad the game is ain't gonna change things)
1. What if Mara created the scorn?: Mara after watching many of her allies fall during the battle of Saturn decides that awoken need to grow stronger. Upon meeting with a corrupted Riven, Mara wishes for an everlasting army. Inadvertently creating the scorn.
2. What if the house of wolves discovered stasis?: In an effort to unite all fallen houses in Sol, Skolas discovers an ancient power on Europa. Listening to the whispers in the dark, Skolas claims the power of stasis and spreads it to all members of his house.
3. What if Calus invaded the last city instead of ghaul?: Emperor Calus after learning about the guardians and their acheivements decides to invade Sol, believing they are worthy to witness the end of everything. Giving the guardians two options, join him and his loyalists or be destroyed by his leviathan
4. What if immaru resurrected Uldren?: Immaru after years of searching has finally found his guardian in the dreaming city, the deceased Uldren Sov. With no memories of his past life and guardians attacking him for seemingly no reason, the newly risen Uldren Sov must rely on immaru's guidance
5. What if the Iron lords discovered Neomuna?: After stealing some highly classified information from Rasputin, the Iron lords discover that humanity exists outside of earth. Hoping to restore humanity back to its former Golden age, the Iron Lords Immediately set out to the planet of Neomuna
6. What if Rhulk invaded Neomuna?: Instead of sending Calus to Neomuna to retrive the Veil, the wintess sends his first disciple Rhulk .
7. What if Nokris made the lucent brood?: Freed from his frozen prison on Mars, Nokris looks for a way to sever his ties with Xol and strengthen himself. After witnessing the overwhelming power of the guardians, Nokris decides to commit the greatest form of Heresy. Turning to the light.
8. What if Saint-14 became corrupted?: After spending centuries fighting vex within the infinite forest, Saint loses his faith in the light and the city. His new purpose now is to destroy the lover and the city that abandoned him to his fate.
9. What if Crow didn't wish to meet Cayde?: Crow never wishes to meet during season of the wish and thus cayde never appears in the pale heart.The guardian, Ikora, Zavala, and Crow must now navigate the dangers of the pale heart without the assitance of cayde.
10. What if Savathun met Hiraks the mind bender?: Savathun learns of a former eliksni who has created his own brood within the hive. Seeing potential in the use of dark ether and hive worms, Savathun recruits the mindbender into her fold. Promising to help him build a throne world as big as her bother Oryx.
11. What if the dred were in Destiny 1?: After losing the veil during the collapse, the witness abandons its remaing forces in sol. The dred left without a purpose, remain in sol attacking any other races they come in contact with. Waiting for their master return.(In this scenario the dred have been in the sol system since the dark ages. Nobody knows their purpose, just that they are another remnant of the collapse)

2 Replies1. Could happen, but didn’t. 2. Pyramids would need to arrive far earlier than they had to interact with House of Wolves. We had dismantled the house during the expansion. 3. He doesn’t have the military backing nor technology to act as a genuine threat to the Guardians. With no ability to surprise our light, we would invade the Leviathan, dismantle its weapons, and then kill Calus. Just look at Taken King. Same scenario, but Oryx was more scary. 4. This doesn’t change much. Immaru was obsessed with the Books of Sorrow, and felt vindicated when he found he could resurrect Savathune. He was then radicalized by the Guardians willingness to crush other Ghosts, even if they were Hive Ghosts. 5. Couldn’t happen. Rasputin was scrubbed so cleanly of any knowledge of Rasputin that the only remaining piece of code was a single line that gave nothing but a keyword. That was the only Acknowledgment. 6. Couldn’t happen. Savathune betrayed the witness during the collapse. Even so, her trickery was not discovered until she excised her Worm. She killed Nezerec and hid away the Veil. She then started moving pawns to ensure she could become a lightbearer. During this time, Rhulk was sent to ascend Savathune into the status of Disciple, unaware of her plan. She put a spell on his Pyramid, sealing him within, where she then excised her worm and became a Lightbearer. Rhulk being sent to Neomuna requires that Rhulk never be sent to her Throne World, which requires Savathune be discovered before she chooses to excuse her worm. Furthermore, Calus was just a pawn, designed to get the Ghost near the Veil, so the Witness could use the Ghost to make a link between the Veil and Traveler through it. 7 - 10. Fanfiction. All of this requires the characters to change the way they act, plans, and even their personalities. Savathune was already making moves to become a lightbearer. Crow not wishing for Cayde completely removes that guilt and shame that is so ingrained into his character. So on so forth. 11. The Dread were a creation of the Witness within the Traveler. They had yet to exist at the beginning of D1, and thus, were a non factor.
