Slacker's remorse: wanting to chase Onslaught shiny again
I've always thought, and still do, that Fear Of Missing Out (FOMO) complaints are bogus, and a normal human response to the existence of cool stuff.
That said, I'd love another chance at hunting BRAVE variant weapons.. gorgeous and storied Legendary² equips. Knowing they exist means my brain cannot accept their dun thumbnail progeny, no matter the roll.
Yes this is a nerdy post and no I don't have a crippling vault problem

I wouldn't be surprised if they bring it back. Probably for the anniversary of when they were initially released.

2 RepliesI think the best thing to do is release crafting for the original ones so that you can change the barrel and magazine, which maintains the prestige of having the OG shiny weapons. Then release another annual event to release non-shiny versions of the double perked weapons. The best thing about having a shiny is saving vault space with the perfect combo of rolls in one weapon.

It’s funny how a small variance drives a player crazy. I was non stop until I got everything. I’d think the 10th anniversary that’s coming might see the shiny rolls make an appearance. If there’s ever gifting added to the game, I’ll give you a dozen shiny rolls.

I thought nothing of them.. just that they were helpful to get your roll (with the double perks) but I swear there is some modifier that makes my shinies better performing.. and there is no denying (embarassed to say) they actually look cool ... I have no problem with a re-release & superblack too.. (I have 10 shinies and superblack btw).. they can even have a special weekly event or something for it...

I think they should return the Holofoil versions as a permanent thing but they should be rarer than during ITL, it would give a reason to keep playing Onslaught for that rare chance at a shiny god roll of a weapon.

13 RepliesThe Shiny Weapons were part of a special event and shouldn't return. That was the very spirit of it. However... with a cool new design i'd take other weapons in that fashion. (Into the light, just new) Or give the normal brave weapons double trait chance (maybe from wave 50 chests in Expert).
