I have tried to farm Pantheon multiple times today and I have to say for the most part it has been ok got some great loot and learnt some things I did not know before, but I must say there is a big issue with players joining fire teams and are not willing to communicate at all and I mean like whole teams of 5 players not in party chat not talking, nothing.
This is actually the problem with raid groups in general and why players don't complete raids at all it's not because of other players being mean or negative all of that stuff is excuses and childishness.
The actual problem is people are timid and scared to speak up and that's okay there's nothing wrong with that but you need to understand if you join a team and don't communicate then you will most likely get kicked or players will just ok leave because they have seen it all before.
Have you heard the quote
"The grass isn't always greener on the other side, it's greener where you water it"?
What that means is if you want you're experience in destiny to improve for yourself and in turn for others then you need to step outside of your comfort zone, use your voice, try to learn the mechanics of an encounter by letting the team know that if someone is willing to show you how to do something then you will try it, trust me most of the mechanics in raids aren't that hard once you understand them anyone can complete a raid it just takes persistence and the will to take ownership of your actions.
I will say this not everyone is a good teacher so you will need to ask questions that you will probably not get the best or most accurate answer for but you will just have to keep trying, remember everyone is different and no-one is perfect so just keep trying but don't complain about the thing you didn't get because you didn't want to work for it because that accomplishes nothing.
Get out there and earn that loot!
