Sunsetting revert compensation! Let us be able to pull out the curated roll of all sunset weapons from collections!
I, like many other players have deleted those sunset weapons, now you tell me they are useful again after all these years, do you think it's fair?
I know you can't revert deletions, here is what you can do bungie, let us be able to pull out the curated roll of all sunset weapons from collections that already unlocked, I mean especially those random roll weapons.
It may not be the exact roll we had before, but at least it's something that we can experience those weapon again, and I don't think this is a too big ask.

I mean my biggest thing with it is I hope they give random rolls snd such, because at least the weapons from Forsaken onward have random rolls already they'll probably keep those and tweak them a bit but the ones from year one (red war, Curse, and warmind) need random perks or else all of this will be for nothing. I mean most of them will already be useless since we got newer versions recently but the others yeah. I also wanna see what they do with the raid weapons if they are a part of it because they only said weapons not past content so it'll be interesting.

Compensation? I want the city dump to compensate me for all the garbage I've tossed out. I mean, I could have wiped my -blam!- with some of that paper. It was worth more than the sunset gear in my vault too.

Most curated rolls are generally worse than what we have now. At least a reissue will have the updated perk pools. The only thing I'd be eyeing up now is the old ritual weaponry. If I can pull Hush up......I'll never need a solar bow again.

Bungie is not responsible for your decisions. Those weapons were still viable in general PVP and low-end content like Strikes. Bungie is not obligated to "compensate" you for a decision you made independent of them. You chose to delete gear that was still able to be used, you live with the consequences.

Bungie already said old loot would be getting sources for use to regrind, and honestly most curated rolls are trash. Seems like a wasted effort

Yes it was annoying, and no, it wasn’t needed no matter what some people would say!! Thing is though, with weapons there is always an alternative and some times that alternative is much better…. More often than not, it is. But for people to still hold a grudge, to still be bitter and to use this as an excuse to go on about it - this isn’t healthy!

I kept my absolute favorites, I wouldn't want this if it was just curated rolls. I'd want the rolls I used back. I know they probably don't have a system in place to accommodate that though. So I'll stick with the 7 sunset guns I still have.

There aren't a whole lot of Curated rolls that I am greatly interested in, although I did pull an Oxygen SR3 out of collections yesterday to put in my Vault for June. For the most part those weapons are going to be weaker than what can be currently acquired, and most likely wouldn't be used by most players. But as with Ritual/Pinnacle weapons, I don't see why it wouldn't be able to be pulled from collections if it is a static roll, especially if it already dropped for you previously.

1 ReplyThere are only about 10-15 sunset weapons I feel like you can justify to me being better than alternatives. Bungie is likely never going to do this. Instead, as they’ve stated, they’re going to re-release most of them over the next year with updated perk pools. I’d be willing to bet we’ll see the Dawn and Dawn-era reprised Mercury weapons in Episode 1. Revoker is likely to return then too, with a nerfed version of its perk. Etc

Go even further. There was a bug about Night Shade the original one that it dropped from collections with random rolls. So just make this to everyone, so we can play our beloved weapons again. And for all that disagree with that, yes nowayday weapons are better but no some of them feels -blam!-. Like Ir Yut its a great LMG but i hate it because for me it feels -blam!- so i dont play it. And thats for a lot of weapons like Better Devils for me feels sick but True Prophecy feels weird idk
