Unable to unlink old account that I no longer have access to?

Hi, I was wondering if there was any way to unlink my PlayStation account that I have not had access to for the past 6 years. I've never played destiny 2 on a PlayStation account and had only linked it for when I played the original destiny, then after taking a long break from the franchise I had become a PC gamer with no consoles or remembering the old account's info, just my bungie ID and had assumed having an old account no longer in use linked to the account wouldn't pose any harm. I can not use my Bungie ID to give someone my /join code as it declares it invalid, even after double, triple checking and even copy + pasting it from bungie's website. I had only just come to this realization now, as I have only every invited people using the in game systems or joining other people's fire team instead.

  • No, you would need to move to a new Bungie profile by using a throwaway account to unlink it. You'll lose redeem code emblems, possibly twitch reward, your Bungie friend list. Also part of the /join problem is you have your accounts hidden from public view (this issue will happen even if its the only linked account)
