Ran into a player with a 5+ trials KD and he is 7+KD for the season. It's his second account because every season has been above 5kd. He had 98% headshot accuracy with hawkmoon with several hundred kills and 97% accuracy with his sniper. He has 1,000 wins and less than 50 losses this season. His regular crucible KD is 9+KD. This doesn't seem normal but I could be wrong.
That is the most extreme example I've come across but I've seen so many players jump start to high kd's now

Bungie trolled them with the hunter decoy. The forums were blowing up with complaints about the decoy. When I saw how many complaints there were I realized it was not a pc v console problem that I was experiencing. The decoy was fooling the aim assist, thus the complaints. Sadly, there are probably more people cheating than not. The people cheating are a huge reason for how toxic the game on the pvp side can get. KD becomes a huge factor with these people, after all they have invested hundreds of dollars and have that shame blanketing them (acknowledged or not) surrounding their KD. Anyone who does not have the same is unworthy of acknowledgment. It is what it is, if things get toxic, I’ll leave and take the timeout. I was against leaving any match, but I left a trials match today when a teammate started shooting me and the texts were frantic. It’s just a video game. Three by three maps are great for flanking, but if all three players go left or right it is no longer a flanking maneuver, but a left or right push. Pushing left or right is fine if your pushing with or into an area with cover. I know some players are cheating, I get one shot across the map while running at full speed, it’s obvious when you see the same guy doing it all game. Not saying some people aren’t good. Cheating at anything in life is selling yourself short, a vote of no confidence lodged against yourself. Be your own champion instead.
