Given Bungie has increasingly moved towards craftable exotics, why not take the next logical step?
Keep the unique perks attached to said exotics of course, but why not give the option to customize them for specific playstyles? For example, you could add Incandescent to Vex Mythoclast so it could function like a proper Solar weapon & better fit that subclass play style.
Another perk slot that would set exotics apart from other craftable weapons would be one that makes them ALL inherently anti-champion instead of a select few. And best of all, you could CHOOSE what type the weapon would be most effective against.
Not only would these two changes open up a whole slew of interesting customization options for the player base, it would breathe new life into many exotics that have largely fallen by the wayside simply because ones like Wish-Ender can function in high end content like GMs regardless of seasonal perks or because they just aren’t that good anymore due to legendary weapons just having better perks while their own feel obsolete by comparison.
Do you agree/disagree?

I'm a BIG advocate of adding more intrinsic anti-champion options to weapons- especially for special and heavy weapons. This season is a good example, since the artifact has only one option for anti-champion capabilities on a special weapon: anti-barrier sidearm, which only works as a special ammo option for indebted kindness and the new dungeon exotic. Being too limited in your weapon loadout options when you need to account for all champion types like in onslaught is just annoying, and limits loadout options too much
