Tormentor in dreaming city ... ???
When you do the blight public event on dreaming city and make it heroic then a freakin tormentor spawns ..
Not the usual big taken knight but a tormentor for no reason .
A tormentor has got nothing to do with dreaming city . You don't see cabal there either so why a tormentor on dreaming city ?
Just why ??

Let's see There is Taken , Scorn and non-allied Hive , the bulk of the witnesses forces It isn't a stretch to think it would send enforcers to back them up , it probably still knows what's going on in this dimension -
Hmm, it's actually quite nice... shows a bit of progression into the next stage of the game (we used to have a pre-dlc week in d1 whereby new enemy spawns would drop into patrol areas). Would be great to see a few 'new' enemies appearing around destinations as well. The way things are heading, I wouldn't consider tormentors as cabal; the same way that I wouldn't consider a taken phalanx as being cabal. Bungie have fleshed out tormentors into their own race alongside the new enemies that will be introduced with the final shape.

1 ReplyYou could argue both Taken and Tormentors are part of the Witness' army. And with Uldren having made it through the portal and final fight on horizon dark forces fight back on multiple fronts. Putting two and two together...

2 RepliesInteresting for 2 reasons chief. A tormentor would breathe some life to the same old public events. There's actually players on the dreaming city, doing PE's and making them heroic? 🤣🤣🤣
