Disable cross save help

Hello, I hope whoever is reading this is doing well. I have tried to disable cross save but I was not able to, a year or two ago, I cross saved my PSN account to my ex’s steam account, blinded by love and to give her a head start since she found the game to be cool. I have recently bought a ps5 and decided to download destiny 2 to experience some nostalgia, of course, as expected, she didn’t play the game at all. I tried to disable cross save but it told me I need to authenticate by logging into her account. I would never contact that person again due to how horribly it ended and how horrible they were. I hope this isn’t too personal, or that it’s not too much to ask. But that account was the first account I managed to get flawless on trials of the nine in, the first account I played destiny 1 in, grinded my touch of malice on the dreadnaught, got my gjallahorn dropped, and made so many memories. It was my mistake to share such a thing, but at the time it truly felt like the right thing. Please consider helping me through this. Thank you for reading.

You need to authenticate ALL linked accounts in order to deactivate Cross Save. Bungie will not forcibly deactivate Cross Save or unlink any accounts for security reasons. https://help.bungie.net/hc/en-us/articles/360049498031-Destiny-2-Cross-Save-Guide

Unfortunately, by choosing to use Cross-Save in a way that's not intended and linking someone else's platform account, you left yourself no other option than to unlink it the same way you linked it in the first place. If you want to disable Cross-Save and unlink that account, you'll need to work with your ex to authenticate to the account in order to do so. Bungie won't forcefully unlink an account that you cannot authenticate to; it was authenticated to add it to the Bungie.net profile, authenticated to enable Cross-Save, and it must also be authenticated to undo those, just as it was to do them in the first place.
