I guess in a way, it CAN help with not overflooding the players with so much, and it helps with the wait until FS. Can't refuse at least some slowed down play. But that is in the case that there is enough content to keep the community occupied. Bungie in particular are not exactly the best at this. For years, the community is known to complete content so quickly. It's simply too short or way too easy. It leaves the wait dry. Timegated weapons can be good, but for Bungie, unless they actually make the quests/activities for these weapons actually meaningful, and not a simple 'Kill X amount, speak to these people' and boom, completed within a day, time gated is a solid nay...
