Time gates wouldn’t be needed if the devs were competent at their jobs, and the executives knew what the customers wanted. Blaming fellow players just because they are more tangible and intractable targets is not the move.

I never said I agreed. I’m just pointing out the reality of what would happen.

But time gating isn’t something to do lol that’s the funny part. It’s really isn’t anything to do besides warlords ruin once per character for the exotic or other raids your still chasing. Lol I’ve went and beat dead island 2 and tried a few others games pass time. The intelligence level is very low in humans these days it’s sad and most lack critical thinking. You can’t make a bad game good, but you can definitely make a good game bad with over complicating things

The menagerie was a seasonal activity people played for months . Menagerie had a lot less than 12 Weapons to grind for . If you don’t give people the loot they want from the beginning early engagement will be low .
