You can still get the weapons after the final shape comes out. The only thing that is time limited is the brave limited edition ornaments. After the final shape comes out you will not be able to get the brave limited edition ornaments.

I don’t want to load into Destiny on the first Final Shape weekend with my friends and say, “hold on, guys, let’s go farm this two month old activity for ten hours before we do any of the new stuff.” This is just a roadblock that reeks of “player retention strategy” over player choice and fun.

Why not just be glad I have things to do? Because they’re unnecessarily reducing the quality of my experience. Every time there have been time gates on weapons in the past, it has been an unpleasant mechanic that I don’t like. I have plenty of things to do, this is a new thing that I want to be as enjoyable as possible.
