release all guns —> playerbase spikes, everyone gets what they want in a week, playerbase falls and people complain bc of lack of content
release guns thru drip —> people complain they wont get their guns instantly, however playerbase will not spike then fall all at once, instead it will have a steadily increase for a short time with tiny spikes and falls each week
you see why they did what they did (the complaining happens either way)

Edited by IamSnaxx: 3/28/2024 9:11:11 AMCool reasoning. Are you the guy at Bungie who makes these decisions and comes here to defend them incognito? I tell you what this announcement does for me. I won’t play. Maybe when finally everything is available again. But I’m not going to sink time into an activity with severely limited loot options only to spend the same time again when they add more. Besides, most people’s relationship with Bungie is hanging by a thread and it’s these types of things that can easily just make them go “Whatever, F this, not playing…” So Bungie has zero leverage at this point. They can only try their fan service strategy to distract from the actual problems and hope that some people will keep playing.

I did not defend the decision. Stop jumping to conclusions. I am simply explaining why a company will do what a company does. If you think explanation = defending then you’re a clown.

No, I don’t think it’s the same thing. Nor do I think you work at Bungie. It was just a funny way to express my disregard for these types of semi-apologetic statements as responses to valid criticism. Besides, you’re wrong. It’s not like they’re getting heat either way. Sure, there are always people who won’t be unhappy. But I think the key issue here is what Bungie can do to actually make people like the game again. And time-gating the already scarce content is not the way.
