Advice for players complaining about trials

If you're not good enough to consistently be winning your 1v1's, don't take on 1v1's Stick to your teammates, do not play aggressively proactively, only if your teammates are clearly good and need you to play aggro with them, otherwise just play normally. These past few weekends I have witnessed tons of players either playing too aggressively against clearly better opponents and instantly dying, or playing too passively and not pushing with us when we are, costing us the round. Even if you are solo Q'ing, do not play as if you were alone. Learn to adapt to your random's playstyle, because you are relying on them to win. Also, for the love of God stop running into the strand clone. I have witnessed TONS of players actively run into my clone and get punished for wanting to ape with a shotgun in hand.

  • Wow...so much to unpack here. The original poster is giving sound advice. If you know you can't win a 1v1 then team shoot. I would say just be mindful when your team mate wants to come back to cover and don't get in his way and end up killing him. If you are Duo unfortunately you have to play off the solo blueberry with you. That is unless the 2 of you are really skilled players and can win with minimal assistance. If you are a trio and know you are not great at PvP in the first place DON"T get a Mercy Card. Instead get a Wisdom card. The new increase drop rates for trios is great and stack that with the extra loot of a Wisdom card. I assisted a duo last night for 2 hours and they had multiple weapon drops and 20 engrams at the end of the play session and we would win 25% of the time. I would say part of that was my fault cause I was on a persistence card. You don't NEED an adept weapon in Trials to win or even win your 1v1s. PvE mains you currently have access to some great weapons Quicksilver storm, Neco, Forerunner, Firefright. Until they nerf 450s you have Prosecutor, Ammit, Positive Outlook. I don't want to let the cat out of the bag on this one but Summoner has HORRIBLE recoil in the 1st 10 to 15 shots....If you can get your shots in beginning of the fight you have a better chance. If you not getting Adept weapons then try Persistance Card. I would like to see that tweaked a little but that will get you an Adept. The other thing is that 6s is a completely different world from 3s so if you want to get better at the game of Trials go play Comp. They are different but it is best practice when you can't play Trials. If you have issues winning your 1v1s go play Rumble, because you will have more 1v1s in that game mode. You have to take it on yourself to get better. Yes, It is very frustration when you have a teammate or multiple that are not good or keep dieing but that is the luck of the draw with doing a solo or duo match. You have to suck it up and deal with it or you can come in here and pout. It is also equally frustration when you get beat over and over and see on the Trials report 2k flawless.( I actually matched a 2k and 1k flawless duo, quick game) If all of 'us' unskilled players don't play as well then the ones that do choose to play will ONLY get those hundreds of times flawless and that is no fun and no one can get better. I also think it would be nice to have PvP coaches. I am STILL a Strand PvP Hunter and I can say that those clones don't kill you, they nerfed them and the threadlings, remember. The OP must be refering to BEFORE the nerf. You will be ok just run right through them.
