Seems to be happening to a lot of people.
You didn't quit lots did you? That's one way to stop quitting even if that's not what happened to you.

No, I'm running passage of persistence quiting would just screw up my card

Maybe its some other kind of issue. Trials did get pretty rough for me almost like less people were playing but I thought that was because I was playing on auto pilot.
