Onslaught does not invoke any hype

Guys, I think most of us (that aren't relentlessly toxic) can say we appreciate you trying to add something new, but this Onslaught thing... The way it's implemented just feels so underwhelming. You hype and talk about Shaxx finally getting involved and he is nowhere to be seen, we are fighting on an overused map that makes it all just feel so watered down, and you got champions involved again which limits builds again... I fell asleep twice trying to get through the whole video. I'm not trying to be mean, but none of this involves hype for me, so if I may, I'd like to give an example of what I was expecting vs what was showcased. This is supposed to be the very last piece of content right before the finale, so I expect content to give the feel of 'all hands on deck' but it couldn't feel more empty and anticlimactic. Why couldn't have the defenses instead have been big names like Shaxx and Ikora showing up to help? Shaxx dropping in and dropping a titan bubble with unique effects such as ammo regeneration or being granted a Lazering device that calls him in to thundercrash into a strong opponent then maybe leave a barricade down before departing. Same concept for other powerful big name allies. Invested defenses should be impactful & paramount to a successful horde mode, it was extremely difficult to tell if any of the defenses showcased had any meaningful effect. I'm comparing this to my favorite horde mode game Gears of War 3. Every buildable defense made a world of a difference and having any of them destroyed felt properly terrifying so i'm hoping what you're implementing feels just as impactful. I brought up champions earlier because it was vocalized several times in the video about wanting to see what builds come out of this but as soon as you add champions suddenly you force the builds to be restricted & not much more different from any other content that involves them. I HATE building for champions. I hate being restricted to a specific meta. Champions were easily the biggest mistake added to Destiny. I really hope you built anti-champion into the investable defenses to compensate because it's infuriating to see those enemies again. Final note: if the rewards from this or from Into the Light don't include new & unique exotic weapons and/or armor and just include old refreshed legendaries, that will literally put a knife in it for me. Please add exotic armor that changes the nature/power of Strand/Stasis supers so we can at least get a psuedo secondary super while you add a 3rd super to subclasses that already have multiple options.
