Opposing players can move fast, and so can you. Just because you don't know how to manage distance does not mean everyone needs to slow down. The ONLY thing about having fast movement in this game that is hoesntly a negative is the slow tick rate servers and P2P networking makes for some funky games sometimes.

  • So you're saying this game, which may or may not be intentionally designed for slower speeds due to it's tick rate and networking, should have everyone move fast? In that case standardize speed and make it so that that speed isn't locked to exotics or certain subclasses. In a vast sandbox with dozens of exotics and 15 subclasses, only a few are overused and it is for the reason of movement. Solar Warlock, Strand Hunter and formerly Arc Titan. Stompees, PK, Ophidian, Transversive, and Dunes. Everyone sure can move fast if they change their loadout to the meta (how many people choose those subclasses for enjoying the game rather than winning the game I wonder), but it really does make the game feel shallow for everything else in the sandbox.

Good players rely on game sense. neutral game and positionoing. Being able to get from point A - > B quicker and more efficiently is inherently better than some random 1 shot OHK ability that goes on cooldown every minute. • Exotics that aren't 'exotic' and only provide passive buffs are a whole other problem. If the neutral game of Destiny 2 were to be divided into a pie chart, over 70% of it would be movement. Not traveling mind you, flailing around in any way possible to close comically large distances in zero time or cheese gunfights with modified speed. When I think of a terrible game state, I think of Pre-Witch Queen Stompees hunters spending a majority of their time in the air jumping. It's ridiculous how little they touched the ground and how many advantages they got for it.
