I’ve personally always had better luck getting exotics from Legend for some reason, I only run master if I’m grinding for a world drop weapon since master gives you an extra perk when a weapon drops.

I ran the Legendary Lost Sector last night testing out the viability of a build, and dropped an exotic the first run. If there is a difference between the drop rates of Legendary or Master, I don't think anyone can tell.
