How about you just play mayhem once the changes hit?
Or maybe you start actually hitting your shots? Using your primary maybe? Instead of cheesing ability spam and op specials 24/7.
Shocker for this community with all the cheese bs theyve gotten used to but maybe you should stick to pve if you are not willing to use weapons in pvp :)

Look, I'm all in agreement on the git gud thing. BUT there is nothing wrong with what OP is saying, those who don't want checkmate can have an OPTION to play the old crucible mode. So what if that causes no one to play checkmate, if the community doesn't want it, then too bad, but that is not the case right now. I would not be surprised if people only played mayhem, or some mode that wasn't the main parts of checkmate implemented in it.

I'm actually willing to give PvP another go after the changes, not played PvP in a couple of years.
