I’ve used cataclysm for the last 6 years in crucible and I’ll say it very rarely tracks that well. If it’s tracking it’s tracking people through the wall, exploding and doing nothing 9 times out of 10. So that sucks tbh. But otherwise we’re talking about Vortex which is the other non-tracking variant of Nova Bomb that can’t kill people in crucible unless you hit them with the very center of it.

Oh well... I think that suffers the same fate as grenades, you can't kill unless they dumb enough to stand there for about 2 seconds

That’s… what this discussion is about. Vortex needs to be useful because it isn’t currently in really any part of the game and it’s overshadowed by grenades of the same subclass.
