Same here. I deleted the character with that memento that's how my problem started. It's actually the same thing I'm also stuck on step 3 without the puriefed memento. I just stopped playing the game because of this. It's been going on for months and nobody is doing anything about it. My advice don't waste your time if someone is going to give you advice, you can't do anything about it if you dont have the memento. I've spent hundreds of hours looking for a solution and there is none.

Oryx's Sword Sheathfull - old
Damn that really sucks to hear. Yeah I've seen posts that also talk about the deleted character issue, and am hoping they eventually fix it because there seems to be a lot of bugs concerning the quest. For me it's frustrating because it's the weapon I need for the badge/eggs achi and it's pretty much the last thing I need. It's also sought after in endgame content and I do like to feel useful in there :/ I guess for now it's making do until the hopeful fix. Thanks for the tip!
