Plenty of warlock mains can put out damage. But the class as a whole, sucks at it because bungie doesn’t give a fk. It’s been while now and I know azzy isn’t super scientific but aztecross tested every super in the game with different “meta” at the time builds. 37 builds ranging from 957k to 115k The first warlock one doesn’t show up until rank 13 Vortex is 32. Slova 29. Warlocks also don’t have any exotics similar to celestial, star eaters, falling star, or Pyrogale Gauntlets, where it’s a significant damage increase to an instant burst dps super. Things like dawn chorus which depends on scotch damage over time or geomags which have been butchered and extend the supers duration over a longer period don’t count as BURST.
