☝😲 I've got an idea! What if Spoils of Conquest could be used in a similar way as Silver! They could be used to buy the top tier cosmetics, finishers, or even seasons!
Obviously an exchange rate of 7 Spoils of Conquest = 10 piece of Silver
Heck, Trials could have this as well to increase Trials participation. It could also be a part of the Grand Master Nightfalls, Exotic Missions, Gambit and Seasonal Events (maybe earned at a slower rate) to ensure all players who want to earn Spoils, or "SILVER", can do so!
Obviously, there would need to be a cap to the amount an account can earn a week. This is necessary to make sure those that can find exploits don't bankrupt Bungie. But that can be figured out later!
@bungie - This would be a GREAT way to curate a hobbyist Destiny player, from both new and experienced Guardians!
Let me know your thoughts by answering my poll! Thanks!

Everyone say yes to this and then we watch the FBI descend on them!

Silver is how they make money. Bright Dust is the free version of the currency.

Let me preface this by saying I hate Bungie’s predatory monetization of the game. But what you’re suggesting essentially equates to Bungie giving away everything in their store for in-game currency. From a business-perspective that makes zero sense, as it diminishes your income. Unless they were to compensate by increasing the prices elsewhere (i.e. more monetization of individual pieces of content (think $20 for a GM key or a Seasonal Activity key) I’d rather see the Eververse get an overhaul. $5 for an outfit, $2 for a weapon ornament, etc. Paying $20 for an outfit is insane. You can but a whole other game for that price. Maybe more than one
