Chill Clip not Stunning Overloads

Both in the Bay of Drowned Wishes lost sector (legend) and GM’s (Birthplace of the Vile and HyperNet Current), a Chill Clip Riptide was not stunning Overload Champions (Scorn and Taken). Whether it’s one bolt landing from long range, or multiple bolts landing from up close, I could not get them to stun properly. If it’s something about % of bolts in a shot that hit, I don’t know, but the description doesn’t read that way, and I’m certain I was in the top half of the mag with an Auto-Loading roll.

  • It has been inconsistent all season for me to. I noticed way back in the first few days that sometimes chill clip worked on overloads to stun them and sometimes it didn't. I haven't been able to pin down any sort of pattern though, it just sometimes does and sometimes doesn't work.

  • It's the Slow that should stun, right? If so, i think not either Verglas works properly. It stuns unstops just fine, overloads are a lottery.

  • Have you by chance been radiant when this happened? I stumbled over this too (see below). When the Bungies communicated that we shouldn't be able to stack multiple anti-champion capabilities on a single weapon (after the latest subclass verb addition to anti-champion stuns) they specifically mentioned chill clip as exception to that rule that should always work. Yet apparently this behaves strange. I noticed this when farming in Concealed void: While I was radiant, Chill clip would stop the overload champion from regaining health but it would not stun him, but would work fine if I let radiant run out before engaging him.
