•

No more nerfs…. Stop trying to ruin the game with nerfing
I support the no more nerfs idea
Well the game hasn't found it's right balance and they do things in Metas here. So, that's not going to happen.

  •
No more nerfs…. Stop trying to ruin the game with nerfing
You're one to speak. I'm not trying to ruin anything. I want it to be where it always belonged. I love this game. Watching the opinions of the community ravage it for the last year has been frustrating.

  • Dude they saw what happened during guardians games with full teams of titans. After that it has been just trying to tame those frcking crazy apes! But the pve -blam!- wtf not frcking needed at ALL. Bungie is so out of touch. I mean so far off the reservation and still no turnaround. Just Crazy!

  • Everyone wants something nerfed and it’s lead the game to this terrible state… the more op stuff we have the more fun

  • If you dont nerf it then what else are you supposed to do? Buff everything else and it becomes powercreep hell, change ONE thing and the whole sandbox gets a lot nicer? That seems like a much better solution. For some reason bungie has this idea that nothing can have the same use space. Like Sidearms,Smgs, High ROF autos, and shogun/fusions cant compete in the same space. They can, easily.

  • Unless it's in pvp. There should NOT be one single obvious choice that is objectively better than everything else (in this case, aggressive smgs)

  • Not necessarily. A lot of the fun of a game comes from the difficulty. I’m not saying Destiny should be a sweatfest, but removing the difficulty or making something too good (overpowered) causes the game to become static and boring. Look at the 120/shotty meta. It was arguably one of the worst, and that’s in part because of how long it lasted.

Don’t make me remember that one, I almost hung up my cape during that time because I couldn’t ever get my hands on a good rampage 120 roll for the longest. Because the best of the best players were gatekeeping that weapon HARD (Igneous Adept)

And besides...you are talking about season of the worthy...need I say more why the player pool was low?

If anyone knows about that, trust me it’s me. There was a mix of both, gatekeepers and sweats just stacking up on rolls. I remember there being an absolutely crazy amount of LFG posts saying things like “reset at 5” all that weekend. It was also one of the most played weekends when it first dropped as well. Trust me, people were definitely getting gatekept like crazy. I was lucky to get a single roll.

  • No it wasn't gatekept. It was bungie doing a bad system where you got more rep tokens by playing till win 5, on top of Cammycakes promoting said idea. It wasn't being gatekept, it was just grind for the grind because it was inefficient to begin with. Please, nothing is being gatekept, you are allowed to participate no matter your skill level or experience. If you are victorious is an entirely different matter. The Olympics aren't being gatekept either for people who never win a prize. Everyone has a same amount of chance by participating, skill is the key factor

You must not know what gatekeeping means in the upper echelon of the trials community. I’m not going to argue with someone over an opinion. Goodbye.

  • Because clearly you can't take it when someone is better than you, seethe and cope I would say. Sorry you felt gatekept from having oxygen flow into the brain My mistake, go ahead. If you want to feel inferior and cry, go do that alone. I don't have to see nor hear it, and neither does the forums. You clearly hoped someone would jump your bandwagon and unify to complain with you

  • I’m not saying that we should not have a moment where we feel powerful. Personally, throwing a Void grenade should feel like you’re throwing a miniature Nuke. That has been lost with how powerful we have become. Sunbracers, for example, while incredibly potent, lack that power fantasy they once had because of just how darn easy it has become to chain it. It does not feel like you’re a God among the battlefield if you are constantly that powerful. The reason why legend was so refreshing was that it made it so that enemies were able to take the attacks we through, so while it did not change the power fantasy, it did increase difficulty making its completions all the more satisfying. Essentially, we are too powerful all the time that we have no power fantasy to aspire to. Legend brought difficulty but did not fix the Power Fantasy issue. We simply enjoy it because it’s more engaging. Had we had more moments where we felt powerful, legend campaigns would have felt all the more better.

  • Blind leading the blind, that is a dumb backwards statement "We can't feel powerful because we are so powerful" No, the problem is there is no power fantasy to aspire to period in Destiny, we can't outlevel enemies but they can outlevel us ? , at a certain point enemies are immune , but a level 1 thrall can still kill a level 1830 guardian , that is not power , that is a handicap That is why the crafting glitch brought so many people back to destiny , because the miserable nerf herding Karen's don't want anyone having fun , so everything is nerfed into mediocrity, but for one weekend we got to feel like a God again
Blind leading the blind, that is a dumb backwards statement "We can't feel powerful because we are so powerful"
No it's not. When everything is powerful that becomes the new normal. If you were always in Goldy it wouldn't feel like a super state, would it?
No, the problem is there is no power fantasy to aspire to period in Destiny, we can't outlevel enemies but they can outlevel us ? , at a certain point enemies are immune , but a level 1 thrall can still kill a level 1830 guardian , that is not power , that is a handicap
On this front I agree with you and have made the same point myself many times. Most recently with concerns to people's reception of Neomuna and how they executed it. I'd like varied challenge in different areas personally. Returning to earlier parts of the game should make me feel powerful and later parts should provide challenge. Rewards should be in relation to that.
That is why the crafting glitch brought so many people back to destiny , because the miserable nerf herding Karen's don't want anyone having fun , so everything is nerfed into mediocrity, but for one weekend we got to feel like a God again
If that had been the new normal, it would have trivialized everything in the game. Literally everything in the game. Was it a fun "event" that reinvigorated the community, sure. They could do everything they never found themselves able to accomplish before.
