Sword and Shotgun Buff(s)

[u]Swords[/u]: • [i]Holding a Sword sets sprint speed to 8.5 m/s (equivalent to Lightweight frame (Lightweight frames receive 10 additional guard endurance and gain higher movement speed when guarding)[/i] • [i]Gain 30% damage resistance and +100% knockback resistance while wielding a Sword within close proximity (≤ 15m) to combatants.[/i] • [i]Guard longevity (Endurance) generally improved to 5s minimum, and 12s at 90[/i] •[i]Guarding can deflect projectiles[/i] (may need minor damage buff) [u]Shotguns[/u]: • [i]+20% Lightweight, Rapid-Fire, & Pinpoint Precision Frame damage increase to combatants[/i] • [i]+35% Precision & Aggressive Frame[/i]

  • I think swords do pretty well for damage. Rather, an idea I've had is: During your heavy attack, you are granted the benefits of blocking for the duration of the animation. This let's skill-expression come through - by timing heavy attacks (which are generally detrimental to total damage and minimally effective for dps), you can stay closer to a boss after it's stomp, and be alive without need of well of radiance. For shotguns, aggressive frame needs more reserve ammo. Their intrinsic "onslaught-esque" perk (final blows significantly increase rate of fire) needs to be played into. They're heavy-duty ad/major clear, not necessarily dps. They, in return, should avoid being buffed by the 35%.
