It can't be fixed without parity thresholds i.e. frame caps/normalization So yeah, Hz.... gives a DPS advantage... in a few rare cases a disadvantage. It seems to benefit, DoT and max threshold single instance... things like Golden Gun, BoW are seemingly more potent. Anyone over 100 seems to be the threshold. They also have latency input advantages, and a lot of people use simple scripts and macros for swaps and reload animation cancelling... some of these things can be done on console too, but it's more common on PC. I've asked for technical parity in the past, but I think realistically that's 1 gen away. Right now, the PvE threshold would need to be 60 but I don't think Bungie is going to do that. Once console tech can do 1440 100 reliably... but that's probably at least 5 yrs off.

  • No one is using scripts to swap weapons or cancel their reloads.

  • There isn’t a script that changes your weapon swap speed, it would be immediately detectable because that would need to alter game files. So there wouldn’t be any need, to activate your script you would still need to press a button, if anything it would be slower than just swapping weapons normally. As for scripting a reload cancel, why and how? What do you make the trigger for the event? How do you cycle profiles between weapons? What if you got a reload speed buff from another player, your script wouldn’t work anymore?

  • A script can be just a programmed input order... and that's more common than you think. No real difference and you can program input delays... but with a single key bind. Reload animation cancelling can also be done manually, I do it... I don't have an issue with it if it's done manually... I include that as a part of skill gap. What isn't is when you can program a macro to do it. 180° and angle flicks, movement and skating macros, and the other examples I mention are bad...and typically advantage PC players the most. These things can be done on console, with programmable gamepads, instance usb dongles, and hardware add-ons... but it's less common.

You really don’t need to tell me what a script is dude, I would just like to know where you’ve gotten the impression people are using scripts to swap their weapons and reload their guns. Do you have anything to back that up at all? Like what possible advantage is there in having a script swap your weapon? You still have to trigger the event?

  • Of course, I'm not going to share that information though... I'm against it, and I don't want to get flagged.

How convenient that the source of your unsubstantiated claims just so happens to be sensitive information. How unfortunate. I’ve looked over all the popular sites though and there’s nothing dude. Not a single script for weapon swapping or reload canceling in Destiny, and no guides for how to build them on YouTube. Currently, you are the only source for this information. What advantage do you believe a script swapping your weapon provides exactly?

It's technically against ToU. It's not convenient, it's prudent and responsible. What is interesting and suspicious is your apparent evangelism trying to dismiss and discredit what is well known. "You really don’t need to tell me what a script is dude". Not just in Destiny, in most PC games where scripts and macros aren't enforced against. The advantages vs. manually doing an izy swap tactic or BnS tactic are obvious, because your efficacy and efficiency in doing so is maximized with no failure state. A single input if you want it... I'm not the only source, but no content creator... or anyone is going to advertise these things because of the potential consequences for doing so. The game is highly exploitable even without limiting, scripts, or macros... but it's much easier with... facts. Many people know this.

Sure, so what’s the advantage of having a script swap your weapons for you? Your comment about Izzy is also wrong by the way, they gave Izanagi an internal cool-down. There’s no way to bypass its reload time anymore :)

  • "Sure, so what’s the advantage of having a script swap your weapons for you"? 😬 "Your comment about Izzy is also wrong by the way, they gave Izanagi an internal cool-down. There’s no way to bypass its reload time anymore :)" I know. Still better on a single input macro.
