Knives are actually popular in pvp but only from high skill players as to a high skill player it's basically just a free kill. Ignitions are also pretty strong dealing 120 in a pretty big radius. However bungie could easily make it so it only activates on pve targets like they have with other effects.

Edited by Zodleon: 12/15/2023 4:11:50 AMI'm pretty high up there in pvp, I rarely see any that arent mine and I almost never get killed by them when i do.(im on console btw so it might be a different story on pc) . I'd say the population that uses them is probably low enough for them to be a non issue. But we don't have any numbers so it's just speculation. I also think the precision requirement would deter ppl to dedicate their exotic in pvp I'd be fine with them just doing it in pve. Even then I'm sure they could manage something to make sure they don't get op in pvp tho.

On pc the requirement to hit a precision hit is basically nullified by how much easier it is to aim it on pc. Most top pc players could map someone with the knife

Yeah then they can just slap "combatants" on it and nix the pvp implications.
