I gave up in May. The same things you described sucked the fun out of the game.
I have around 7,000+ hours in D1 and D2 and had 90 hours into the D1 Beta on Xbox 360. I played the game to death.
The only thing Bungle cares about is how much money they can squeeze out of the players, while constantly saying they will do better. They won't.
I've moved on to other games. I urge you look at others too.
