I thought this was like a years old necro post, 1k already does scorch.
would love if raid exotics got catalysts, but scorch didn't fix 1k

If it did enough to ignite in one shot, it could be somewhat viable, but it only does 90

The real problem is scorch/ignite doesn't make up for its lack of base dmg and/or ammo but its not like this is a mystery, clearly bungie doesn't want it to be anything other than a meme weapon. it was only a good option during particle deconstruction and even then it wasn't any better then any other legendry linear with vorpal at the time. I don't get why they don't lean into these weapons that would only be good with a single user and make teams having a wide selection of exotic heavy weapons as good or better play then just everyone using rockets with a gally or everyone on linear with a div.

For 1. They should make it so 1k DOESN'T need a fragment to ignite then 2. increase damage by 50% against red bars, 20% against majors and champions, 10% against bosses and lastly give it +4 more ammo. All this wouldn't make it near the top but it would be a good start and make it at least viable.
