Maybe it's the fact that all you have to do is jump and you're already benefitting.

Yah get blink levels of movement without the downsides. Movement is stupidly strong in this game. Doesn't matter what subclass or weapons yah got if yah can't hit the Crack head bouncing his head off the ceiling just for that extra boost

No no no no. That is bs. Who the hell are you trying to lie to? Me or yourself? This games abilities and gunplay far surpass every other games. That's what separates it from the rest. The movement? Hahaha geezus christ. Bungie does not like speed runners. They do not like skating and things of that nature.

Or it is the fact you can't move around and aim at the same time. I hate hunters and had zero issue with Stompees. Crybabies will be crybabies and get stuff they can't counter nerfed into uselessness

Yah press jump and get instant insane vertical movement. Yah got strafe? Then yah get insane horizontal movement. You know what else does that? Blink. Yet blink has downsides to it for balance. You know an exotic is clearly a problem when 90% of the damn hunter population was using it despite having things like wormhusk and pre nerf YAS. You in a gunfight up close? Press jump and you have now vanished from the enemies line of sight. Just look up? They initiated so they literally have the jump on you. That doesn't take skill or even proper thought. A -blam!- monkey could run around spamming the jump button and be evasive as hell. I'm a hunter main. So don't give me that bs. Insane movement for free on top of the hunter dodge and our jumps just being flat out better for aerial combat by design
