Yes, your video card (driver) is crashing, given the error LiveKernelEvent with P1 value = 0x141 (VIDEO_ENGINE_TIMEOUT_DETECTED); the GPU stops responding in a correct way, hence the black screen, but the fact that your whole computer then crashes is a symptom of a HW problem, otherwise only the game would crash and you'd find yourself back to the Desktop. You might try undervolting slightly your GPU and see if that helps.

Thanks for your input on my issue above. It is very much appreciated. I have tried undervolting and still am expericncing the issue, however i may not have gone far enough with the undervolt to see any results from that. I have also experienced this once or twice now during 3d mark stress tests so clearly it is not an issue limited to Destiny, as i first thought it was. I guess my next steps are to try and work out what the cause of the Timout detection error is and try to solve that since that seems to be the root of the problem. My fear is that this may be a hardware issue with my GPU that is only experineced during higher loads.. EDIT -- fixing spelling mistakes

  • It could also be your PSU struggling to feed stable voltages...
