Beats the brakes off the weenie hut jr "difficulty" we had prior. I'd rather it be slightly tedious (even though I disagree with that assertion) than feeling like im tearing through a wet paper bag.

  • There should be some reward for leveling up though right? What's the point of grinding for Pinnacles if you're going to be underlevelled for every activity.

  • Well, you're not underleveled for every activity, so start there lol, and even in the activities where you are capped, if your power is low enough, you'll be even weaker than the capped power. The whole leveling up thing has kind of gone away anyways, but there is a rework on the horizon which we'll see soon enough hopefully. I get your point. I think that having power level as a reward is a poor system to begin with and am hoping what comes next feels better than both the current and previous power systems. I'd also be fine with pulling back on how many activities cap your power. Maybe keep that only for GMs and Master end game content (raids and dungeons). If it would help player sentiment, go for it, I guess. I just don't see power capping as the boogeyman others do, especially when it's only at certain difficulty levels.

  • Sorry I didn't mean underlevelled. What I meant was I don't see the point of increasing my power level if I'm going to be capped at -15 or whatever it is for the activity. It seems counter intuitive to the whole idea of grinding for better gear.

  • If you're a player that keeps up with power levels and seasons, there is no point currently. If you're newer, you do still have to get up to a certain level to even be the highest you can be while capped by the activity. Like there's still a gap between fresh player and the capped power level so it's important to an extent, but if you've been playing, it's not currently. But that's also what I was getting at about not liking power level as a reward currently, because I have no reason to grind it, and it doesn't do much for me. I just wouldn't agree that uncapping power for activities is the answer. I think they need to go the opposite way and find meaningful rewards to give us besides "number go up." Now whether they can do that or not, idk, but i'd prefer something else other than "grind until you've outleveled the entire game." I know many DO like that. I just don't. Don't think it's healthy long-term and don't think it makes for a fun/engaging endgame after the first couple weeks of a season/DLC.
