I don't know the solution
I do. Stop trying to panic use your rift.

True I can agree with that to an extent, but also panic use of hunter dodge or Titan barrier is way more forgiving than warlock rift.
-
Warlocks have an instantaneous dodge too, & barricades don't constantly heal you nor buff your damage
-
Void barrier can constantly heal you by applying overshield if you want to pull up with a specific aspect about warlocks having a dodge.
-
Overshields & healing are two separate things, but rifts apply overshields anyway.
-
True, but only while you remain in the rift, they instantly vanish once you take a single step out of the rift. And to use your own point Icarus dodge and rifts are two totally different things.
-
& you only get an overshield if you leave the barricade & go back to it. I brought up icarus dash because you brought up hunter dodges. My entire point was rifts need to be used differently because they do something different than barricades & dodges.
-
My point was class abilities only, since these are the key identities of the classes themselves, the universal ability that identifies them. Hunter dodge is a class ability, while warlocks is an aspect, limited only to solar, meaning it's not always available. To just add you get to keep the Overshield even when you step away from the barrier unlike the rift, only that it recharges at the barrier itself. And I agree with your point that they need to be used differently, but the main point I was making it both Dodge and barrier are more forgiving when used in a panic situation while rift isn't.
-
& rift is more forgiving than dodges & barriers when used in every other situation besides panicking
-
So you agree. Saying rift isn't as forgiving as the other two, as it's only panic casting and bad placement that need forgiving. What's their to forgive about only being good at playing it out of danger, in cover & on corners?
What's their to forgive about only being good at playing it out of danger, in cover & on corners?
Plenty. It can't be destroyed, unlike barricades, & it remains in effect after being used, unlike dodges.
