  • Problem with that would be "oh no! I'm about to die to a Thundercrash! Let me stand still and pop a rift!" Same for almost any panic type super. It just wouldn't work like that. Could it have like 50%DR? Sure I don't see why not.

    A Titans is a shield, a dodge is to ‘dodge’…. You can’t just put shields in walls it’s still got to be placed facing somebody. A rift is used to get your health back during/after a gunfight, why on earth would anyone be stood in the open near no cover trying to pop a rift? It makes no logical sense

  • Yeah I know what they do. But warlocks have to have a brain when using their while the other can randomly place theirs and get a benefit from it and it can save their lives. Warlocks have to use their behind cover and most of the time get less benefit then the other classes.

    Are you forgetting what a rift gives you or what? Full health on demand. Why shouldn’t it require you play near cover with it your literally able to fully heal faster than your opponent 🤦🏼‍♂️ why are we even having this conversation.

  • First off it doesn't give full health on demand, it regens ur health slowly. Also hunters actually get health back on demand with a dodge and it cost and exotic armor piece. Also titans get a full oversheild on demand just by. Running void. This point is invalid, now if we got full health just by casting I think that would be a good buff to healing rift.

    It is full health on demand. You press one button and your health will regen immediately and be full within a second. Hunters only get a quarter health on dodge WITH an exotic. Titan Bastion Overshield has been nerfed by cool-down, health and is tied to one subclass with 1 specific aspect. You are missing the point. You can’t compare an exotic and specific subclass uses to an overall class ability that works on any and all warlock classes.

  • Again it's not full health on demand u don't get full health on cast. Hunter dodge with and exotic get u either invis, weapon reload or full melee with health back. Titan barricade u get an oversheild plus a wall that block dmg and then if ur enemy pushes through it they are 1 hp. Warlock rift u get a long cast animation and maybe health regen if u aren't pushed before u finish the animation.

    It is on DEMAND, soon as you cast the regen begins. You are full health within a second. Go and test it. You are using an exotic that stops you from using St0mpies sacrificing your movement, after 7000 hours crucible time on my hunter alone I would never pick a tiny bit of health regen over my movement. It is a terrible pick and normally used by low skill players. And as for Titan as I just said above, it is from ONE Titan class, ONE aspect, cool-down has been nerfed, health of shield has been nerfed. The warlock rift animation I will admit can feel a bit long at times but it is why it’s important to use it half in cover.

  • U just stated urself it is not on demand. U don't get full health as soon as u cast. Now with hunter dodge with worhusk it is on demand and it does more on top of that.

    The dodge does that on its own?? That is nothing to do with wormhusk or health regeneration like rift so what are you talking about? They are subclass benefits like ‘on your mark’ ‘vanishing step’ that BTW require you to give up your benefits off St0mpies if you want to dodge.

  • I agree with this idea too. Obviously the designers have considered this-ish, balance or cheese concerns or whatever, but I just don't care anymore. Speed it up, buff it, expand it, make it move with us, [b]anything other than: nothing.[/b] It looks lame, plays bad, and functions as a direct sxicide button [i]wayyyyy[/i] too often. It's the most unpleasant ability in the game, and has NEVER been anything more than 'useable'. Sick of it.

    Maybe it's not free... maybe you need to build into it with mods and/or fragments... but the animation lockout is a huge disadvantage vs. the other class abilities, as it stands, especially in endgame PvE and any PvP. It's crazy how useless it is under fire. It did have a moment with Stag... and maybe that's what they're worried about... But, I think requiring certain mods and fragments could help balance that. Rift in endgame is only good for recovery, only good in cover... or against low priority adds. Barricade is better... heck I feel safer behind a rally barricade than in rift. Dodge is better... Rift needs help, needs something.

    Piggy 🐷 backing on your hot take... doing something like this is the way forward for solar Warlocks in both PvE and PvP. This is one of the ways... steps, to evolve solar lock and deprecate Well. I also think class ability activation... for all classes should counter CC effects. Poison, slow... burning effects, AoE spash attacks & knockback effects... including player melees like shoulder charges... the shield throw, if you timed it right... you could send it back against your attacker. In PvP... or void Lucent Hive. I'm on board for an upgraded rift.
