Bring back the Haunted Forest
I have to say, the Haunted Lost Sectors are stale. I wish Bungie would bring back the Haunted Forest for Festival of the Lost. They have brought back sections of Mars and Titan for whole seasons, why can't they bring back the Haunted Forest for FotL? It was way more fun to grind, and every run felt different due to the random generation of the platforms. It gave the full spooky feeling and effect that a Guardian wants for the season. Thanks to Neomuna and Splicer tech, this should be possible in the game universe. Maybe if we can voice this enough, Bungie might hear it. Am I the only one (or of a small population) that feels this way?

2 RepliesGenuine question: When I read "bring back X" posts, I'm always asking myself: is it about op missing the past content, or is it about, I'd like to get something different? Do you miss the haunted forest or do you wish for new stuff? Or maybe a bit of both? Anyway, I don't think Bungie will bring this back without another reason, as it means porting Mercury skybox and levels to the current engine. They always tend to tie this kind of effort to a new season or another activity afaics. And I do think getting previously locked exotics is cool (for those who didn't have them) and we didn't have a reason to get that kind of content with the haunted forest.

Content is hard man. You don't get how this works. You pay them, and they take your money while laughing at you. That's how this relationship works.

Variety would be extremely welcome yes. Both HF and HLS would be cool. Same with the summer event and the AEZ. Those revamped strikes were amazing first time around. While we’re at it Revelry could have been good also if bungie has stuck with it. But we know bungie. If it’s too good or going in the right direction it’s no good to em.

They are worse this year. No one asked for Legendary lost sectors and Champions. This is another Bungie attempt to inflate time spent on the game.

I miss it too, thought most people hated it. That was probably one of the more fun events. I can only picture how fast we’d tear through it now tho with our new perks and abilities

Something new would be nice. Haunted patrols where you fight off ghosts and zombies.

Haunted forest was the worse of fotl. It was so boring, other players made it just annoying, and it took longer than the current lost sectors. It was awful all around.

Can't Osiris still manipulate the Vex network? Wasn't that how the Strand Time Trial mission came to be?

Festival of the Lost is not about the activity, it's about Eververse. Bungie just want you to buy the Event Card for a recycled event that no one really cares about anymore. Bungie do not care about this event outside of Eververse .. stop expecting them to.

I agree, but what you have to realize is this would mean that Bungie actually has to care about what its players want.

Last year, just by playing normally, I almost completed all of the requirements for the Ghost Writer seal. The only one left was completing like 15 more haunted sectors. But they are just so boring, that I couldn't bring myself to do it.
