No, just no. Some people never get to enjoy crafted weapons at all due to rng and time constraints as it is. And some people do not like chasing a random good roll due to rng. The current system allows both types of players to pursue a weapon in what ever way tickles their fancy. Taking away crafted weapons, especially in raids, will just make people that raid constantly feel unrewarded. Just imagine how many times you would have to run a raid to get the weapon you want to drop first, then have the rolls you want on it. Same for seasonal content. People already can not stand the random nature of getting the raid and dungeon exotics to drop, never mind adding legendary weapons to that mix.

  • L take. Random rolls are what bring enjoyment to the looter shooter experience. If you want a flat experience, go play COD or something. Plus with his solution there'd clearly be enough time for new weapons to rotate in and craft.

  • Because he likes crafting he has a L take? You don’t have to craft and can chase all the random rolls you want. You are on the losing side of this argument. They’ve already tried this and it failed miserably to the point they stopped sunsetting. Nobody wants to go through that again. How quickly people forget how awful of an experience sunsetting was. I play more bit less because of crafted weapons.

You have the option to chase random rolls, and not craft a single weapon if that’s how you find enjoyment. Others like crafting, they like investing enough time to collect the patterns and resources to make their ideal weapon and move on to something else. Why should there only be one choice when currently there is multiple choices? The way you want to play for enjoyment is already in the game as an option, why should that be forced on others if they don’t get their enjoyment the same way?

  • The issue is crafting is taking away from the chase. I like random rolled weapons, but when the very best in slot weapons are all crafted, there is no point to using anything else. And yeah you can use things that are suboptimal for fun, but why? Handicapping yourself simply for the case of handicapping is rarely fun.

  • Crafting is taking away my fun!!! So I want everyone else's fun to be ruined just so I can have fun!!! That's how you're coming off. Like a petulant child

Handicapping yourself simply for the case of handicapping is rarely fun.[/quote] The difference between non crafted, crafted, and Adept weapons is marginal at best. Anyone who actually plays the hardest content in the game can go into it with nothing but non crafted weapons and perform just as good as if they had the exact same rolls on fully crafted versions of the same weapons. If the slight differences between the three version of weapons is a so called “handicap” for anyone then the issue is with the user. Plenty of people don’t care about crafting so they chase the rolls they want and that suffices but for the players who enjoy crafting then the option is there. Chasing god rolls is far from a fun endeavour if it takes months to obtain said weapons. It took a year before I got a Funnelweb or Staccato that were even close to my 5/5 rolls, that isn’t an enjoyable experience and a vast majority would agree. Again, the option to chase rolls and the option to craft are both there for those who care to partake in either, having less options isn’t a good thing. Trying to use the marginal differences as an excuse and calling it a handicap is laughable lol. The OP suggesting sunsetting is beyond moronic as well. What was it you said? As yes, immense “L takes”.

  • Cringe. You actually just proved my point. Plus not every single gun has to be -blam!-. My favourite weapon of all time wasn't even a 3/5 in my first iteration, turns out I loved it. Crafting takes that away. Y'all just love to hate anything that makes you.play the game.

I love to hate anything that makes me play the game? And yet I have thousands of hours played and I’ve accomplished pretty much everything that there is to accomplish within the game. That’s a big swing and a miss for you, slugger. 😂🤡

  • You're also in here arguing against what inherently would make the game more playable. I also have thousands of hours. I have also done basically everything despite starting later than some. You just want to boast about hours played to try and invalidate a fair point.

You chose to open your mouth and tell me I love to hate anything that makes me play the game and I informed you that your idiocy was way off base and couldn’t be more wrong, that has nothing to do with “boasting” lol. Keep trying, big guy.

  • So not only did you look up my hours and stats for a minor dispute, but you think that you talking about your play time actually matters? I forgot why I don't come into thks cesspool of losers like you.

Are random rolls not available in the activity you are playing? Is some one forcing you to craft a weapon? You’re take on the subject sounds like you are saying you do not have the willpower to not craft a weapon as part of fear of missing out due to finding the random roll takes too long. So you want bungie to remove crafting so you don’t feel left out when others already crafted a weapon with the rolls you want before you have a chance to find the same weapon through rng. And you don’t see this as a personal issue rather then a crafting issue? I am trying my best to see this argument against crafting the way you are describing it, and I just do not see it. If crafting was the only way of obtaining a weapon I would agree with you, but it’s not. You can chase random rolls of every legendary weapon that can be crafted.

  • I'm using random rolls of crafted guns. The problem is that once I get the pattern, there is zero reason to continue the hunt. I got the 5/5 Forbearance first try. But for something like Smite of Merian which has 4 rolls I wanted, only 2 of which I got, once I had done 4 weeks of the raid I had no reason to go back. It takes away from playing the activities that matter the most. Seasonal crafts are great starter weapons and then from there you should have to go grind for the best. If you want a loaner then craft it until you get the random roll.
