Sony requires PS+ for any matchmade activities in Destiny 2.

But I still remember a time when Dares of Eternity did not require such a requirement. Likewise for other activities (except Trials because that didn't exist during that time) back during when the Red War was still playable if I remembered correctly. It is just a shame to see more activities that were meant for new players that are trying the experience just get locked out suddenly to not be able to try that very activity that wasn't locked to other players that were trying it out before. Honestly, it is just another instance of "fixing" something that did not need to be fixed. An act of shooting itself in the foot, to be more specific.

It's a Sony decision, not Bungie. Xbox no longer requires Xbox Live Gold or any other subscription to play matchmade Destiny 2 activities.

Oof, at least I get the picture now. Sony just slowly but surely killing D2's ps4/5 playerbase... That is a yikes indeed. And how the tables have turned huh? Back when PS3 and Xbox 360 were the main attraction while PS3 didn't require a subscription to play multiplayer while Xbox 360 did. Now it is the other way around. Aside from that, I did have an instance during the crafting glitch period where the activities were playable. I do wonder if that instance can be replicated (not the crafting glitch ofc).
